Karl students went on another volunteer trip in January. This time we visited two Taiwanese aboriginal schools in Hsinchu: Jia Shin and Shin Leh Elementary. Our students lead the elementary school students in various activities, including drawing, singing, English language exchange, and BBQ dinner. Not only can students contribute to the society with their abilities, they can also explore and learn about the outside world. The life experience cannot be taught in textbooks. The world is our classroom.
A good will and spread to a very long distance. Karl School has cooperation with the Goodwill in action Association to provide sleeping bags for the children in remote schools in Taiwan. Those sleeping bags will be send to the students to help them stay warm and comfortable during the cold days.
The beach is one of the many marvelous asset that mother nature offer for human kind, yet it often times is not well taking care of. During the volunteer week, the students are giving the beach a new look, people in Kinmen will be able to enjoy a beautiful view once again.
Contribute to the society through volunteering will have a impact, no matter how small the action is.
